The Musical talent of CaitlynRenee.com, Caitlyn Renee is participating in my Spook My Face contest. Here is what she has to say to you guys!

I know I'm not as make-uply talented as you makeup people tend to be, but i did work on this for about 2 hours and i like the result. Her name is Caity The Lady-Bug. She's cute and very happy with her color, although it took her several years and many attacks during high school to make her realize her beautiful bug potential. Now she cant keep the Grass Hoppers off of her!!!!

I was going through some old files and saw this look I did for a friend of mine. Her name is Lindsay and she rarely if ever wears makeup. Especially not this bright. It was her birthday so she wanted to go a little more out there than usual. I used Parrot by Mac and one of the green shades from the Coastal Scents Palette. I like how pigmented it turned out.

Spook My Face!

BOO!

After such a great response to my first contest, I’ve decided to throw another for all my fellow beauty bloggers and readers out there! Seeing as how it is October, I thought there was no better time to throw a costume contest, entitled Spook My Face. I’ve been excited to do a more funky face look and I want to share the fun with all of you and give you the chance to do it also.

Makeup your face in a look of your choice; monsters, fairies, favorite Disney characters, anything! Its up to you, you can even don a whole costume. Whoever pulls their look off the best, wins!

Spektra has a great post with some AMAZING Halloween and Costume inspired face charts if you need any ideas!

Winner will receive a goodie bag full of gifts!! Post your looks on your blog or send in pictures to jaimie@justkissnmakeup.com. You can submit as many looks as you like, just post/send your name and title of your look! Be sure to let me know when you've posted. Deadline is Friday, October 24th and the winner will be announced the 31st! Politically Pretty: Super Hero

This is my submission for the Politically Pretty challenge that Brit and Kia put together. Sooo politics are always a picky subject on a public blog so I won't even go there. I'm not a very political person, but my look is inspired by a youtube video I stubled upon. It was a video about Barack Obama to the song Hero by Nickelback and ever since I can't get it out of my head. So when figuring out what to do for my Politically Pretty Look, it was no surprise that I went for a super hero look.

I decided to don a blue mask, with white along my brows and a sparkly red lip with glitter. I think that we are all looking for someone to "save america" from all that is going on with the job market and the oil industry (There is literally NO gas in Georgia, and when they ship some in, the lines go on for miles). I wonder what my name should be? Political Princess?...doesn't sound like a very good superhero name lol

The Leopard Within

I want to thank everyone for being so patient with me and continuing to check out my blog. I told ya September would be a busy month, and indeed it has been! =) Job transitions, makeup advancements, getting settled into my new place, schoolwork…whew! But hopefully it’s all under control and I can continue to focus on sharing my thoughts with you all. I'll be going through all my blogs on my blog roll this week and catching up on all I've missed!

In a previous post I shared with you all that I was going on a job interview and guess what? I got it! So a big thank you to all my well wishers! Boy, have I got some stuff for you all, so stay tuned.

So to kick off my return, I bring you a photo shoot I’m really excited about. I call it The Leopard Within. I was inspired by Beyonce’s Kitty Kat video. The model is Tori, a feisty Leo who always embraces her feline side so I thought that she would be able to pull off a leopard print eye really well. It really accentuates the gorgeous shape of her eyes.
